Food Access, Nutrition, and Public Health looks at various policy opportunities to increase access to healthy food, with a focus on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the largest anti-hunger program in the United States and about 75% of the farm bill’s budget. Instead, FBLE proposes program changes that will enable SNAP recipients to fully access program benefits, make healthier food choices, and bolster local food economies using SNAP benefits.
