2023 Farm Bill Recommendations

The Reports below are the culmination of a year-long process by FBLE partners to study the farm bill and develop concrete Recommendations that will advance shared public values.

These Recommendations are an early attempt to infuse policy ideas into the next farm bill conversation. Although we discussed and vetted these ideas among our Farm Bill Law Enterprise members and many other stakeholders in order to write the Reports in this series, and sought review of the reports by various stakeholders, we know that many more organizations, stakeholders, and communities will have thoughts, constructive critique, and perspectives to offer that should ultimately shape the policies enacted in the 2023 Farm Bill. We offer these ideas as a starting point to generate further discussion and are eager to collaborate with other stakeholders to further develop and refine these ideas and set priorities for the coming farm bill cycle. Please see The 2023 Farm Bill: FBLE Recommendations Overview for a summary of recommendations in all five reports.
